Low VOC textiles for the automotive sector

Intercol is specialist in formulating waterbased polymer compounds. For special projects, we have developed LOW VOC compounds based on VAE polymers. VAE polymers are known about it’s low flammability, so no or less flame retardant additives are needed in comparison to e.g. S/A or S/B compounds.

Do car interiors contain voc?

VOC stands for volatile organic compounds, which are chemicals that can have short-term and long-term health effects. Some car interiors may contain VOCs, as they are often used in the materials and adhesives used to make car parts, such as seats, dashboard, and flooring. However, newer cars are often made with materials that have lower VOC emissions to reduce the potential health risks. VAE as a polymer binder can be very helpfull to reach lower VOC values.
