VAE has a lower flamability index than Styrene Acrylic and Styrene Butadien. Therefor, it’s easier and more economic to use VAE.
VAE is compatible with ATH and MH
Aluminum trihydrate (ATH) and magnesium hydroxide (MH) are inorganic compounds that are commonly used as flame retardants and smoke suppressants in a variety of industrial and commercial applications.
Aluminum trihydrate (ATH) is a white, powdery substance that is made from aluminum, hydroxide, and water. It is a highly effective flame retardant and smoke suppressant, and it is commonly used in plastics, rubber, and other materials that are used in electrical and electronic equipment.
Magnesium hydroxide (MH) is a white, powdery substance that is made from magnesium and hydroxide. It is also a highly effective flame retardant and smoke suppressant, and it is commonly used in plastics, rubber, and other materials that are used in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as in building materials. It also has a neutralizing effect on acidic gases such as CO2 and SO2.
Both ATH and MH are non-toxic, chemically stable and environmentally friendly, which makes them a suitable alternative to halogenated flame retardants. They are also used as fillers, pigments, and catalysts in various industrial applications. Both materials can be used alone or in combination with other flame retardants for better performance in specific applications.
